Don’t judge, okay? We’ve alllll got bad habits. And yes, even I have had my fair share.
You know those habits that creep into your routine. The ones you know are bad. You know they’re holding you back from becoming your best self, yet you keep coming back to them because it’s just so easy. And so hard to quit.
Quitting a bad habit is tough. But it’s worth it. These are 5 unhealthy habits I’m SO glad I quit:
Cutting out soda was one of the best things I’ve ever done for my diet. When that caffeine craving starts to hit, grab some coffee to hold you over instead!
Your phone has to sleep elsewhere. Find a place (other than right beside your pillow) where your phone can stay plugged in for the night so you can catch some zzz’s. Tune in for some other habits this can help you build.
If someone makes you feel a certain way when you’re around them, it is okay to cut them off. Your mindset is too important to be compromised by toxic relationships.
Get up and get after it! Sleeping in until 1pm isn’t exactly the recipe for going after the life you want. Of course I still sleep in on the weekends, but kicking the lay-in-bed-all-day habit has allowed me to get so much more out of my day.
It’s so easy to fall into the trap of escapism. TV time can feel like the ultimate chance to decompress at the end of the day, but what could you be doing instead?
Q: Do you have an unhealthy habit that’s holding you back? You’re not alone. Share the habit you’re going to break in a comment below. Let’s cheer each other on!
