Let ‘Boundaries’ Be MORE Than a Buzzword

When you make the switch from living life at the whims of circumstance to intentionally going after the life you want, things will change. Lots of things. 

The way you spend your time–different. 

The headspace you settle into each day–shifted. 

The way you interact with those around you–enhanced. 

With all these changes, there WILL come a shift in your relationships. This includes your significant other, your family, your friends, your coworkers–even your dog! No one is immune to the powerful ripple effect of someone going after the life they want, and that’s a GOOD thing!

This is where boundaries come into play. Ah, yes. Boundaries! We love to talk about them, to muse about what it would be like to be a boundary-setting boss lady, but actually SETTING them can be…uncomfortable.

Here’s the thing.

If you are truly, wholly going after the life you want–no matter what that life looks like–you need boundaries. Everybody does.

Setting limits on others’ expectations of your time, your energy, and your actions does NOT mean you don’t care about those around you as much as you once did. 

Quite the opposite. 

What it DOES mean is that when you DO allocate elements of yourself or your day to others, you are doing so thoughtfully and with intention. Who among us doesn’t crave that? Let boundaries be your go-to gal as you take ownership of your life, and see how much bliss they can bring.
