This is my favorite time of year when it comes to weather. There is just nothing like a smooth transition to boots and sweaters after exhausting all your summer frocks. It’s a literal, wonderful, warm hug that I look forward to every year. Before we dive into gift-giving and holiday cheer (hold the eyeroll please… that’s my second favorite time of year!), let’s talk about a few key items that help me feel all the autumnal vibes at home!
Gotta give mom credit for this one. She is the one that turned me on to all the wonderful possibilities and good vibes of essential oils. This device is the ultimate mood-booster and such a fun home accessory. Pick your favorite essential oils (mine are lemon and peppermint… they will wake you UP) and let that sweet smell drift through the room.
A diffuser can help with any number of things, depending on which oils you use. There are blends for freshness, headaches, focus, calm, overall wellness, and anything else you could want to set the ambience!
Important! Do your research on oils first—especially if you have any fur babies around the house—because some oils could be harmful if used in large amounts around pets.
You know the feeling. You wake up, drag yourself out of your warm bed, your feet hit the ice-cold floor, and you just want to crawl back under the blankets. Enter: the coziest house slippers. (Seriously, I have multiple pairs. Mine are sold out now, but I found a dupe of comfy slippers here!) Keep your precious feet cozy and cared for!
Say hello to my best friend. No really. I literally buy a new one and send it to any place I’m visiting in the cold months ahead of my arrival. Gotta make sure I’m comfy wherever I go, ya know?
Snuggle up, because once you have this in your life you aren’t going to want to let go of it! The one I love has a variety of settings that makes sure you feel comfortable at any temperature!
It doesn’t matter what time of year it is. This is a necessity because we have to get the best sleep possible every night. If you’re like me, you need DARK when you’re falling asleep. This sleep mask is my favorite because it doesn’t lay directly on your eyelids which can lead to excessive sweating (not ideal for staying asleep) and unnecessary face wrinkles. Need I say more? Get your best deep sleep without the annoyance of too much pressure on your face!
It wouldn’t be fall without a glowing candle placed here or there around the home (or everywhere, if we’re being honest). This candle is the perfect mix of spice and citrus, giving you all the autumnal vibes without being too in your face about it. If you’re a die-hard pumpkin candle fan, you could certainly go that route too. Try out this pumpkin nutmeg candle for all the yummy fall smells you’re dreaming of!
Decorating isn’t just for the holiday season! (Plus, it doesn’t have to be difficult.)This gorgeous wreath sets the stage for your home from the moment you hang it on your door. Can we talk about the color scheme going on here? Autumnal tones at their finest. I love how this one has a mixture of textures between the leaves, berries, and grasses all woven together.
Pro Tip: Get the most bang for your buck by hanging it up early in Fall, and leaving it up until you’re ready to dust off your holiday wreaths!
