Best Year Ever: 2017 | #VLOGMAS 22
This is my favorite video to make ever. EVER! Last year I made a video called Best Year Ever: A Review of My 2016. Why? Because it was the best year ever. Then, 2017 happened.
2017: THE best year ever.
I’m highly optimistic that 2018 will be the best year ever too. Do you see a trend here? I believe that we have to enjoy our wins, love our life, and do whatever it takes to create a life that we love living.[Note: I’m using my bullet journal to refer back to all of the awesome things from the past 12 months.]
In January, I published a book! I know I’ve talked about Vlog Like a Boss: How to Kill It Online with Video Marketing about 1,000 times, but I don’t care. I even made a music video to celebrate the occasion!
The book is truly a manual, and I’ve had a ton of positive feedback from socials about how it’s helped them become better vloggers. I couldn’t be prouder of myself and of YOU for taking action.
In February, a local bookstore welcomed me in to do a book reading and signing. Then, Vincenco and I hopped on a plane with 5 hours notice to go see a Gary Vaynerchuk event. I still can’t believe we pulled it off.
March was the month that Vincenzo lost his beloved grandfather. We loved him so much and are heartbroken that he’s gone, especially because he didn’t get to be there for the other great events of 2017.
While Vincenzo was home with family, I played Dorothy at Social Media Marketing World’s keynote address. I also celebrated my 10-year anniversary on YouTube and this channel hit 80K subscribers! That’s huge!
In April, we took our engagement photos, and I found my wedding dress on the first day I went shopping. WIN!
In May, we went to SAP’s Sapphire Event, which stretched (and showcased!) the Aftermarq team.
June is my birthday month, and I took a few weeks off for a real vacation. Yes. I, Amy Schmittauer Landino, took a vacation. Amazing.2017 was the BEST YEAR EVER! Seriously. I can't wait to see what 2018 will bring! #vlogmas #vloglikeaboss Click To Tweet
July was pretty great because I spoke at Creative Live. Again, I’ve had such positive feedback from the live audience and recent students who have gone through the course.
August was filled with wedding prep + getting ahead of work so I could take some days off for the wedding. I treated my Dad to see Foreigner in Cincinnati. We were in the first row. So cool.
September: Wedding in Vegas at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Drive to Cleveland. Speaking at Content Marketing World.
October was busy with speaking engagements, and we had a 2nd wedding party in Connecticut for Vincenzo’s huge family.
Closing in on the end of the year, November had a few speaking engagements + a trip to London.
December has been busy with #PODMAS and #VLOGMAS, but we’ve been spending time in our community too, which has been a great break from all of the hard work we put into each day.
Can you see why 2017 was the best year ever? So many beautiful events happened. We had so much growth in our businesses, and we are optimitic about the future of our companies. We wouldn’t be where we are with you, as a viewer of the YouTube channel, listener of the podcast, and reader of the blog. So thank you. Thank you for making 2017 the best year ever.
Keep working to have the BEST YEAR EVER because you’re the one going after the life you want.
